My husband and I just returned yesterday from The Gardens Hotel and had a wonderful time. Our stay was in September 2005 and lasted a week to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversay and we were pleasantly delighted from the moment we arrived at the property. Once you pass through the gate, you enter into a garden of eden.We will definitely return to this property. It was worth every penny. GO AND ENJOY!

The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and you don*t even feel like you*re right off of Duval Street. The location is central to everything there, yet is very peaceful and quiet. The main house and pool/bar area are very beautiful in decor with an obvious touch of upscale detail and quality from artwork to linens. It by no means looks like your typical cookie cutter hotel in design and furnishings. |

The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I had arranged ahead of time (via e-mail) for a bottle of wine and a fruit & cheese plate with a card to suprise my husband once we checked in, and everything was provided in a beautiful display just like I planned. *A Big Kudos to the Staff!!* |

We had a great tour of the property which we thoroughly enjoyed. And then of course we enjoyed the pool almost every day, including the pool bar!
We also really enjoyed seeing the k-nine, feline, cockatile, and turtle residents of Gardens. *A big hello to Terrance and Puff Daddy!* - two of the cutiest kitties in town. Also a big hello to Kate, Alicia and the rest of the staff - We Loved It!!

We reserved a courtyard room which is on the first floor (in a building of 4 units) looking out to a courtyard with an adorable frog fountain amongst lush foliage which is just steps from the pool. It has a nice semi-private porch with comfy cushioned chairs and ceiling fan. The inside was a quaint bohemian theme with a desk, sitting area with sofa and coffee table, flat screen tv mounted on wall, marble bath with great Aveda amenities, all hardwood floors, and a wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows with the most beautiful bed linens and matching drapes. You would not find this kind of attention to detail in your typical upscale hotels. (The only comment I have is that you may want to request the upper floor since all rooms have hardwood floors, and you can hear people above you).
